Camps
We beat the doldrums this year with our camps! Children, teens and even adults came out to enjoy horseback riding, crafts, games, equine care, and even paint a pony! Summer, winter, spring, fall or even during school breaks…there is a camp for everyone! Camps this year will include a petting zoo, mini horses, cart rides, crafts, games, water play and more! Participants of all ages and levels of ability are welcome! We believe in inclusion, and are happy to make any reasonable accommodations necessary so that all may attend. Call us in advance to discuss the specific needs or you or your child so we can be ready for a great camp! One on one is available with advance notice for those who need extra help.
Birthday Parties
We’ve had all kinds of parties at Stars and Strides for people of all ages with all kinds of abilities, and we love them all! Does your little one dream of a unicorn fairy party on horseback? Or maybe he prefers a dinosaur party with a petting zoo? Even if you are an adult and prefer a quiet trail ride before heading out for a nice steak dinner, chances are we have a party package for you! It’s exciting to meet new people and to introduce them to horses and life on the farm!
Parades
Every year, the Stars and Strides family comes out for a variety of Christmas parades held around the area as well as the Old Solider’s Reunion parade held in Newton. We’ve traveled to the Claremont, Denver and Maiden Christmas parades and this year, we even had Santa Goat join us! Our students love putting together our float, decorating our horses and handing out candy along the float routes. Awesome crowds and our fabulous (and patient!) horses and riders complete the experience. Our floats are beautifully decorated by our students and volunteers, and snacks and apple cider on board keep us going as we wave and play along with the crowd throughout the excursions. We look forward to it every year!
Photography on the Farm
Professional and amateur photographers alike have come out to take pictures on the farm this year! Birthday portraits, couple shots, weddings and candids with horses…it’s been a blast! Thanks to all the talented photographers who provided their time and talents to get those perfect shots!

Animal Assisted Therapy Events
At Stars and Strides, we believe that all animals can help heal our clients, not just equines! Through activities like caring for, feeding or playing with animals, individuals can experience physical, emotional, and cognitive benefits that lead to enhanced mood and relaxation, increased socialization, and improved communication skills. Thanks to some of our partners, we are able to offer farm animal assisted therapy events, petting zoos, and homeschool days on the farm so that our clients can benefit from all the healing that the animal kingdom has to provide.
