Spring Farm Festival

Each April, the Stars and Strides family opens the farm to the community for a low cost, family friendly Spring Farm Festival! Our largest event of the year, the Spring Farm Festival has grown significantly and last year included approximately 650 individual attendees from all over Catawba and Lincoln Counties and beyond! Featuring a wide variety of family friendly activities, there is something for everyone. Activities include pony rides by trained professionals, a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting and balloon artists, a craft table, family and farm friendly vendors, a photo station and even a dunk tank (featuring our intrepid teen volunteers, ready to get wet!)! Most activities are free for the cost of admission. Food and coffee trucks provide the lunch of your choice (for a fee) that you can enjoy while listening to our DJ harass the dunk tank participants and piping out family-friendly music or browsing our exclusive, small group of vendors. Need a breather from the crowd? There’s even a place your family can challenge each other to a game of corn hole, all by yourselves.

“The Shining Stars of Christmas”

Special Needs Christmas Party

Each year, a special family in Ft. Mill, South Carolina holds a Christmas party designed to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities and their families. Open to the public, this heartwarming event kicks off our Christmas season with joy the first Saturday after Thanksgiving each year!

The party caters to the needs of immuno-compromised, sensory sensitive or physically or developmentally disabled young people who want to meet Santa in alternative environment set up especially for them. For the last two years, the Stars and Strides family has volunteered for the event, bringing horses, instructors, volunteers and a petting zoo for the children to enjoy. Party goers enjoy pony rides, special time hands on with small farm animals, and a roving mini-horse as they play games, meet Santa and enjoy snacks.
